Houdini & Nuke
Study
Over the past 2 to 3 years, I have been steadily building my foundation in Houdini and Nuke, two of the most demanding tools in the VFX pipeline, purely through self driven learning alongside my regular work.
What started as complete unfamiliarity has evolved into a solid understanding of how to design and art direct simulations with intention. From shaping particle systems to driving pyro setups, combining them with RBD and vellum simulations, and finishing everything in Nuke, I have developed a workflow that allows me to approach effects with both control and flexibility.
Rather than focusing on raw viewport outputs, this section highlights the full process, ending in polished, composited results that reflect how these tools are used in production. The goal is not just to simulate, but to direct.
This journey has been challenging, but that is exactly what drives me. I am constantly pushing into new areas, currently expanding into fluid simulations, to keep evolving as an artist and move closer to high end VFX work.
