Nabil Ramadan Commercial
Created in collaboration with Sultan Swaiss of 16th Street Films, this stylized and comedic commercial for Nabil Foods aired daily on Iraq’s national television during Ramadan 2024, reaching millions across the country throughout the month.
Deliverables
The ad follows a playful concept where traditional Iraqi and western dishes argue over who deserves to be eaten, playing off the cultural reality that during Ramadan, meals are limited to Iftar and Suhoor, leaving many foods “unpicked.” This humorous take was brought to life through a cast of animated food characters, each packed with personality.

Process
As the sole 3D artist on the project, I was responsible for:
Modeling and texturing every character
Creating shape keys for facial animations
Building and lighting the environment
Color grading the final renders in line with the reference boards, storyboards, and voice-over direction from Sultan

With just two weeks to complete the full production, I focused on optimizing every scene, linking assets, breaking files down per shot, and ensuring each render only included visible elements to keep turnaround times tight.

The result was a vibrant, funny, and culturally resonant spot that stood out for its charm and quality. An ambitious project that demonstrates my ability to work under pressure while delivering polished, broadcast-quality work.

The end result changed a bit from the storyboard based on limitations of AI generation.

Review
Yori is incredibly reliable and professional. Working with him has always been a smooth and pleasant experience, and the end results are consistently top-notch.
